Crazy Creations!

Today we worked super hard to use all of the straw and connectors to build this fancy tower!

It got a little bit silly!!

Ellie, Ella and Korrah also worked hard on their writing on our new easel!

And Collin had a blast reading stories to the animals!

Next week we are learning about the ocean, your child can bring in a beach towel and some sun glasses to use for play in the dramatic play center for the week!

Visit from the meteorologist!

Check us out this evening, our picture will be up on channel 9 at 6:00!  Our visit was so much fun, we got to talk about tornado/severe storm safety, see a wind experiment, and hear a story about storms!  It was a very special visit!

What's the Weather?

Good afternoon!

This week we are learning all about weather!  We are so excited to meet a meteorologist tomorrow, but until then - we have been working hard to be meteorologists ourselves!  In ether dramatic play center we had a blast acting as weathermen on TV, and this week we are tracking the weather during circle time!  Today we learned that clouds can be messy,  we had so much fun playing in cloud fluff at the sensory center - and even though it made a big mess in the classroom, we did a good job of getting it cleaned back up!

Sweet Feet Yoga

Happy Friday!

Today we had our special visit from Sweet Feet Yoga, the instructor was fantastic and did such a great job adapting yoga for kids!  She had so many silly was to practicing our stretching, acting like balloons and animals were just part of the fun!  We also did some great relaxing at the end of the session, and I think it is the quietest we have ever been!

St Patrick's Day Fun!

Happy St. Patricks Day!  We have been super busy today learning all about leprechauns!  Here is the breakdown of all our fun!

1. We started off today eating a super special St. Patricks day snack... Delicious RAINBOW rice crispy bars, a super tricky leprechaun turned our juice green too!  

2. We read a super silly story about leprechauns and their tricks... They sure  can cause messes!

3. A leprechaun stopped by over the weekend and dropped off some "magic water"... We thought for sure it was a trick, but it was really magic!  We poured it on special st. Patrick's day stones and they started to bubble and coins hidden inside came out!

4. We decided to catch a leprechaun and set up MANY traps, there was lot of creativity and team work!  The trick we thought would work...GOLD!  We put it in all of our traps!  What leprechaun doesn't love gold?!

5.  A sneaky leprechaun came into our classroom during outside time... He was able to get past all of our traps and we couldn't catch him.  He left a HUGE mess for us to clean up... I guess it is true how sneaky and tricky they are!

6. Before his last goodbye that leprechaun turned our applesauce purple and left us with some skittles, how nice if him!

Wild Wednesdays!

Good afternoon everyone!  

Today's post title is EXACTLY how our day was...Wild!  We has so much fun today playing together in our spring themed centers, especially dancing in the rain under the pink umbrella!  In the spirit of spring and rain, we colored in umbrellas and sprayed them with sprinkles (...I mean downpours) of water.  This activity was a huge hit - everyone wanted to spray their umbrella first!  Today we also made dirt cups, complete with WORMS!  This was messy, messy, messy and filled with smiling chocolate faces... Dirt is messy right?!?  And oh yeah... We also made a mess of REAL dirt in our classroom too! (I've added some pictures from earlier this week as well!)

Earlier this week the dirt was SMELLY... It's gotten a little better since then!

Happy Birthday Robbie (on Sunday!)

Today we had so much fun celebrating Robbie's birthday!  He brought in Popsicles, they were delicious!  Happy Birthday Robbie!

Happy Hat Day!

We had so many great hats in our classroom today, it's always fun to break up the week with a silly special day!

We learned about spiders, and worked so hard to spin spider webs of our own with marbles!

Our fly swatter fun continued this week, and with some silly faces too!

Ella worked hard on ether bug puzzle today!

Elena and Kahne made flowers, but they weren't for anyone special :)
